Laminate Flooring |
 |
| INSTALLATION |
|
| • Before placement, the laminate flooring has to be let to stand a minimum of 48 hours at room temperature in a closed packaging, within the place where it is going to be installed. Room temperature must be over 18C (64,40F) before and during installation. |
• Laminate flooring has to be laid in a floating manner, that is to say, without gluing or nailing the lamination directly to the floor or the base surface. |
| • Leave a dilation opening of approximately 10 mm (0,3937 inches) around the perimeter of the room or place where it is going to be installed. |
• Old baseboards must be removed before installation. |
• Laminate floorings can be installed directly on any even floor. In most cases, the use of a fine insulator is advised. Concrete floors require a damp screen. Use a plastic sheet of a minimum of 0.20 mm (0.0079 inches) thick, so as to avoid humidity problems. Besides, they are essential for all installations on first floors. Make sure the sill is dry (a maximum of 75% of relative room humidity) |
• Material for the lower protection- a minimum of 3 mm (0,1181 inches) thick- will be needed. (foam or rubber foam) |
• The floor where the lamination will be installed must be flat, with a maximum difference of 2 mm (0,0787 inches) for each 2 linear meters (6,56 feet). |
• After installing the floor, the baseboard must be installed. It has to be fixed to the wall, not to the floor. |
•Check the material before starting and make sure that the panels do not show any damages caused by shipping or manufacturing. |
• Installation instructions must be followed accurately. All rights to make a claim will expire in the event of an inappropriate installation. If any problems arose, installation must be suspended or discontinued immediately and a specialized seller should be consulted. |
